UnionRep.ca is a personal education site run by Aaron Beaudry in Ontario, Canada. This page explains what information the site handles and what it does not.
What I collect
If you use the contact form, I receive the name, email address, and message you type. That is so I can read education questions. Do not send grievances, medical notes, or another person’s personal information through that form.
If you sign up for the newsletter, I keep the email address you type so I can send occasional education notes and, from time to time, products I recommend. Some of those may be affiliate links. That list is for UnionRep.ca only. I do not sell it. You can ask to be removed through the contact form.
What I do not collect
I do not ask for your worksite, your employee number, your grievance number, or your medical information. I do not run a member database. Representation happens at the hall, not here.
Affiliate links
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Some UnionRep Recommends posts contain affiliate links to Amazon.ca. If you click one of those links, Amazon may set its own cookies and know that you came from this site. That is Amazon’s privacy practice, not a list I keep. I may be paid a commission if you buy. See the disclaimer.
Hosting and logs
The company that hosts this site may keep ordinary technical logs (for example, that a page was requested). I do not use that to identify readers, and I do not sell it.
Your rights
If you sent a contact message and want it deleted, use the contact form and say so.
This policy is for UnionRep.ca. Linked sites — CanLII, government pages, Amazon, and others — have their own policies.
